There is a theory that life on Earth started from meteorites or asteroids that contained the building blocks of life crashing into Earth. And such ideas always get me thinking.
What if that space debris was seeded by another civilization as a way to explore other worlds that those beings couldn't get to?

Well, they would get to explore the planet whenever they were technologically advanced enough to go check it out, because until then the creatures they planted have no memory of their intent, so it's not helping them any. Unless there's also transmission technology coded in our DNA. Which is just creepy.
Or, what if that space debris was seeded by another civilization and now they've come back to collect...?
Beats using all that expensive fuel to launch into space. Would the life forms be wearing protective space gear, or do they breath in outer space? Hmm, if they carry - or are - oxygen related microbes, I suppose they would be their own form of useable air.
Interesting new take on space travel.

Or maybe they cast their seed to continue their species like dandelion fluff.
Maybe they were dying out or blowing up (Krypton and Jor-El)and needed to send their DNA into space as a last ditch effort.
But don't we explore our world...?
Okay, that's just creepy. But it's not my job to limit these, so go for it.
Just a thought. Take it where you wish.
Yeah, that's one way of looking at it. That would work.
Transmission technology DNA sounds amazing. 0-0
This is more along the lines of what I was thinking.
