Blogging from A to Z Challenge 2016
Theme for the Challenge:
Guess the movie!
“I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.”
I start this month with a classic sci-fi. Many sequels aren’t
as good as the original.
In this case, I think it is better than the first one. This movie has action,
heart-thumping moments, and a heroine who had her faults and fears, but discovered the courage
to battle not only her personal demons but real monsters as well.
Starring Sigourney Weaver and Michael Biehn, the terror
never stops in this movie. Good special effects and storyline eased the money-grubbing
corporation trope. But IMHO, the studio heads should have stopped at this sequel.
Highlight below for the answer.
Aliens

Couldn't watch this alone. Scary movie!
This is (of course) one I own.
Most satisfying scene: when Paul Reiser's character gets to meet one aliens face to face.
Never been good with aliens. I mean, what if they're really real? And if it's true that they do probe you? Or invade us, take over our bodies or bust out of them? Shudder.:-|
Good one. Aliens made me sweat watching...for the scare factor and the actors always looked too sweaty. Well, I'd be sweaty too if I encountered an alien.
DOH!!
I just realized something. I used this A for the very same Guess the Movie two years ago. Even used the same quote.
SMH.
seriously, i am losing brain cells fast
Fantastic movie franchise. I love all the Alien movies.
And I see that you are tackling the challenge with 2 different blogs. You are braver than me.

@Carol and Sharon: Definitely. The first one even more so.
@Brett: nah. Just this one. and the work is shared between eight writers.
@Em-Musing: The hubby can always tell when I am "Into" the movie we're watching. I quit Facebooking and leaning forward in my chair.
@Lidy: What if they are real? Can't imagine why you are asking. Oh course they aren't...OH DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT BEHIND YOUUUUUUUU....
@Marcy: the best of the best. Plus this quote is known by so many writers. Like Princess Bride and Galaxy Quest :D
What a fun idea! Looking forward to reading the rest of the challenge entries.
@saucydryad: There's a little something for every one and every taste *BG*

Me and my partner recently watched "Alien". Love it! Sadly, this era is our favorite for film watching. So many flicks today rely too heavily upon CGI for our tastes. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Though you, my dear, already visited, I will nonetheless add that I am on the A to Z Challenge list at #1340 today. Best wishes! - Darla M. Sands

I love this movie. Ripley is one of my favorite female bad ass characters.
I never would have guessed. :) Not much of a movie buff. But I like the fun of the trivia.
