A Picture Paints 1000 Words Blogfest

Today's the day! I can't wait to make the rounds and see what picture you chose and what story you came up with. Hopefully, I'll get mine up in the next hour. I'm such a procrastinator. :)
Rules:
1. Sign up in Mr. Linky below.
2. Tell your friends any way you want and send them over to sign up for the party.
3. Choose a picture to inspire your short story (the story can be about what you see in the picture, or just something that it sparked in your imagination.)
4. On Monday-Wednesday (March 26-28), post your story of 1000 words or less and go around to visit the other participants. You may want to post early, see below.
5. The four of us at UB will do the same and pick our four favorites to post links to on Wednesday night.
6. On Thursday you get to read the four and vote for your favorite.
7. The winner will be announced on Friday. This winner will have a choice between a first chapter critique from those of us at UB, or a $20 gift card to Amazon (courtesy of me).

And now, the pictures. I found the first half on Fantasy Art Design, the rest were on my computer in the sample pictures.

CD, Marcy, Jeff and I can play, but will not be in the running for prizes. :)

  1. So, ahem, I still haven't gotten my entry up, but I have 'til tomorrow right?

Voice inside my head screams: No, Brooke! You know you need to do it now. You have a post scheduled for tomorrow!

    Yeah...

    Voice: What's with that look?

    Nothing...

Voice screams: You haven't even written it yet, have you?!

No, no. That's not entirely true. I do have three sentences!

Voice points and continues screaming: You go open that word document right now!

    It is open...

Voice: Then go type on it instead of continuing to take this internal conversation that is getting you no where!

  4. I've been reading these entries and can say I have NO IDEA how the heck you guys are going to just pick four. Honestly not even counting mine as a contender...How the heck are you guys going to do this? Torment, regrets, pains, loss, love, sacrifice and fairy tales abound.

Only four? Well, in the end, whichever four you choose will be freaking great since there are so many wonderful entries.

    1. I know! They have all been fantastic. We may have to vote on more than four. We'll post them tonight after much discussion and debate. :)

    2. Angela, I've been thinking the same thing. And there's still three entries I cannot find.
Callie, Brooke, Julie ... where you at?

  5. Eek! Massive fail, over here. This week did turn into a very productive one. Lots going on, and then I forgot until it was too late. And I was so excited! Grr, self. But I've enjoyed reading the other entries! Next time, friends. Next time, I'll write reminders and pin them up all over the house.

  6. I'm disappointed that just when I found out about it the list is gone and I can't read other entries. Brooke's had me pining for more. Hope you keep it up longer next time. At least let us know who the winners are?
