And you're right, I position my laptop in such a way that I have to face my backyard and periodically look out the window onto the yard and let my mind wander as I plot or create poetry. Sometimes, I will have a glass of wine too.Yvonnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08038918668619367960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4393512822627120580.post-89649857156363012572016-07-09T13:59:29.746-05:002016-07-09T13:59:29.746-05:00@alex thanks and it does look roomy. It has always soothed me and lifted my mood. It's an occupational hazard for us writers.

@kristen you've said it, the more peace and quiet the better. Here it is with my Rubbermaid boxes full of books for size reference. http://i900.photobucket.com/albums/ac202/areodjarekout/IMG_0002_zpsvrwrbikp.jpg

I was just up there looking for something and left it a bit haphazardly organized. It really is dangerous to climb up there though, and I can't be bothered to find a ladder. I suppose I could go through the attic space. There's already a ladder set up at the other end and it looks like that bit of wall comes out. I'm really not sure what my dad's done up there. I'd have to put down a camping pad or something for comfort.

I ramble. That probably means it's time for me to bed. Loved the post! Maybe I should start writing there, since I don't really have a space or routine for writing. Mostly I just turn the computer away from me so that I'm not distracted. But I have to climb my wardrobe to get to my ceiling alcove, so perhaps not.Alexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02922976137367789576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4393512822627120580.post-37087630756321991902016-07-06T19:30:34.094-05:002016-07-06T19:30:34.094-05:00I just have to knuckle down and pull out the writi...I just have to knuckle down and pull out the writing thumb drive. If I was sitting there, I was writing. I couldn't listen to music, which distracted me but the sound of my fingers on the keyboard was music enough. Now, with a laptop, sitting in the living room, I find I don't write as deeply or frequently. Time to go upstairs, fix up my spare room, clear my old computer desk, put my laptop there, and write there. Thank you for the reminder.Diana Wilderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11074083771067857127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4393512822627120580.post-14396841597790009342016-07-06T07:10:42.941-05:002016-07-06T07:10:42.941-05:00You know what?
