Writing, promotion, tips, and opinion. Pour a cuppa your favorite poison and join in.

Elizabeth Arundel

I’ve always known I was supposed to be a writer. At least, that’s what the palm reader told me when I was 8. I was dubious. Creative writing was my least favorite subject in school. (Of course, that was probably because writing was painful for me. I get the worst writer’s cramp. Computers with keyboards are so much easier.)

I’ve been making up stories all my life. I didn’t start writing them down until I was well finished with college. They tend towards fantasy. I prefer made-up worlds. It’s easier than doing the research to get a historical era right (and it would have to be accurate or it would drive me crazy). Besides, what’s a story without an element of magic?

I’m making it up as I go. I like to learn how others do this writing thing. Some tips I adopt and use. Others I find don’t work for me. It’s a process, one that has become such a part of my everyday that I don’t know what I would do without it.
