Freudian? Or a Finger Twitch?

Fifty Shades of Grey Redux

I read the sample chapters of Fifty Shades on my Kindle, got to the end and thumbed down to the ‘more information’ tab.

Clicked the button.

Waited.

A message popped up: “Thank you for buying Fifty Shades of…”

Well crap. The Fickle Finger of Fate strikes again.

I'm a lightning-fast reader so expect a review tomorrow.

*what an idiot*

Fifty Shades of Grey.

Um.

Yeah. Enjoy :-)

A movie fanatic I occasionally converse with thought I'd be excited to know this book was optioned for and being turned into a movie. Didn't do a follow up to validate if true or not.

This is true but the author and her agent made unusual demands.
My imagination took a turn for the weird and strange after reading that article.

You know, I'd be kinda pissed off if an e-book pulled that one on me...

I'm with L. Maybe it's so big simply because of miss-marked links? Good luck, and if it is turned into a movie it definitely won't have a rating I'll be comfortable going to see.

I would be wild if the links were mismarked like that. This book drives me batty. When it first came out...Aside from it being fan fic, which has it's place don't get me wrong...I was curious. Who wouldn't be. But holy crap. I don't want to speak badly of another writer. And more power to her. Seriously.

Anne Rice did it MUCH Better in her 'Beauty' series. With more finesse. Better characters. Plots. AND maturity. Not to mention they're steamy! ;)

I read a review from a therapists standpoint (the Character Therapist) and it actually seems to have a lot more going on in it than just sex. If you read the review, you might enjoy the book more? I haven't read the book, but after reading the review, I kind of wanted to.

I've had pretty good customer service from Amazon. Not that I'm out shilling for them, but I'd bet if you contacted them and told them what happened, they'd refund your money. But I am curious to know your take on the book. Maybe ask for a refund tomorrow.

*still reading*

For clarification: I clicked on the wrong button. Amazon was not at fault.
Wait for the review tomorrow.

*ouch* I've done knucklehead stuff like that and tell myself it's okay b/c I'm just supporting the author (a very wealthy one, she is)! :D

I'd be ticked. I'm always so careful to not hit the wrong button. Are you sure it was operator error?

I'm not interested in reading the book, but I am interested in your review ;)
